During his time in the Soul Society, and more recently, Sarishi has been studying and testing new kido. It was during one of his many trips into the bowels of the inner library that Sarishi came upon these kido techniques. The following four techniques derive their power and names from the five guardians of the directions in Buddhism. The techniques are called the Ancient Seal Kido, and can only be used by those who have studied the documents and teaching of their creator, an ancient sage whose name has since been lost.
All the Ancient Seal Release Kidos require a massive amount of spiritual power to use, very often the user is drained of a quarter of his spiritual power after casting one, with this in mind a person should only cast a maximum of two within a day, or else there is the possibility of literally being drained of their spiritual powers by the seals.
Ancient Seal Release Jikokuten
Incantation: “Ye lord, Keeper of the Kingdom, Protector of the East, Guardian of the Spring Rise and Stand, bestow the gift to those who serve faithfully and decimate those who defile your land.”
Effect: Releasing the power of Jikojuten causes the ability to absorb any sprit based attack. The spell itself creates a large clear shield with a gauge on it. Once the gauge is filled the attacks are then returned though an immense blast of power. The shield has limits, once the gauge is filled and the blast shot the shield disappears. The spell lasts for roughly twenty minutes.
Cost: Is roughly a quarter of the caster’s spiritual power
Ancient Seal Release Zochoten
Incantation: “Ye lord, One Who Expands Wisdom, Protector of the South, Guardian of the Summer Rise and Stand, bestow the gift to those who serve faithfully and decimate those who defile your name.”
Effect: Releasing the power of Zochoten causes the wielder to summon five pillars of fire. These pillars cannot be broken by any spirit based attacks. The user is also granted the ability to manipulate these pillars. The pillars although extremely hot can be put out with the right amount of water.
Cost: is roughly a quarter of the caster’s spirit power.
Ancient Seal Release Komokuten
Incantation: “Ye Lord, Lord of Limitless Vison, Protector of the West, Guardian of Fall Rise and stand, bestow the gift to those who serve you faithfully grant them the vision of the Gods.”
Effect: Releasing the powers of Komokuten allows the caster to be granted exceptional vision. This grants the wielder the ability to see through all illusions, and see 360 degrees in every direction. It also heightens their ability to sense an oncoming attack.
Cost: is roughly one quarter of the casters spiritual power.
Ancient Seal Release Tamonten
Incantation: “Ye Lord, Scourge of Evil, Protector of the North, Guardian of Winter Rise and Stand. Ye who is the strongest of all grant your powers to those who serve you faithfully.”
Effect: By releasing the power of Tamonten the users strength and speed triple for a short amount of time. The initial time depends upon the user, but it roughly about fifteen minutes. This spell puts a large amount of stress on the caster.
Cost: is, unlike the others, about 35% of the casters spiritual powers.
