The Zero Squad is above Captain class shinigami any that have bankai may take a test to become a squad member a greater test will determine if you are worthy of becoming a seated officer. if you are a member of zero squad then your powers are greater than captain level since to become a member you must be promoted as a capitain all squad seats are virtually equal in power and the same goes for squad members the slight diferences in power are with the abilities and weaknesses of each character.
